Now that it’s Christm- I mean November! It’s time to indulge in rich and soul-warming flavors of a classic Hot Cocoa favorite but for adults – Boozy Mexican Hot Chocolate!
This classic recipe combines the velvety smoothness of Abuelita chocolate with the bold and distinctive notes of Agalves Mocha and Cream Tequila Liqueur. Imagine the perfect fusion of traditional Mexican cocoa and the spirited kick of premium tequila liqueur. This concoction is not just a drink; just like the Holiday, it’s an experience. Whether you’re curled up by the fireplace or hosting a cozy gathering with friends and Family, this Boozy Mexican Hot Chocolate is sure to elevate your winter evenings, leaving you with a taste of the exotic and a touch of luxury. So, grab your favorite mug, prepare your taste buds, and let’s fill your cup!
Yields 24 fluid ounces (3-4 servings)
- 1 cup heavy cream*
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 ½ tablets of Abuelita Chocolate
- 1 Shot (Or More) of Agalves Mocha Tequila and Cream Liqueur
Bring the cream and milk to a low boil. Break the tablet of Abuelita Chocolate into four pieces and add it to the milk as it warms, stirring occasionally.
Reduce the heat when the milk mixture begins to boil.
Scrape any excess chocolate from the sides of the pot so it can melt into the mixture.
Divide the cocoa between three or four small mugs and add your shots of Agalves Mocha Tequila and Cream Liqueur to taste.
Top Off with Whipped Cream and dust with cocoa powder or cinnamon!
